Dartmoor in Southern England is famous for its high moorland and rocky Tor’s. This photograph was made at sunset as the last rays of light caught the rocks giving them an orange glow.

Not far from Haytor on Dartmoor, on the side of a low ridge, is a windswept tree that shelters besides a small Tor and amongst rocks. This day in February 2019 had been cold and mostly sunny. Around sunset the clouds retreated leaving a bank of thin cloud on the horizon behind which the sun dipped. As it did so, and for a few minutes, the light turned casting an orange glow across the rocks and tree.
